Everyone please come out to Cedar Ridge this weekend to put on a good night of racing in honor of Richard 🤍💜💛💙

IN HONOR OF RICHARD

First and foremost we want to apologize for the late information relaying to this weekends upcoming race as we are usually on the ball months in advance working on this but this year has been very different and difficult for us as a family and we would like to let everyone know what has been going on. Back in March Richard had to have surgery to remove 2 masses from his bladder that were confirmed to be cancer, in April a PET scan was completed and the results were not what we had hoped for the cancer was not just in the masses it had actually progressed into the muscle becoming MIBC (Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer). After a very very long discussion with Richard (he’s very stubborn) and speaking with Harlie’s family about this upcoming race we are doing things a little differently this year. This years Hope for Harlie will be hosted in honor of our very own Richard Ashby but the only way he would agree to this was there were some stipulations because like we said before he’s very stubborn and he is a very proud man. There will be no auction, and no donations being asked of anyone. We ask that you do not treat him any differently, asking him questions of how he’s feeling, what his treatment plans are because he has made that decision and he does not want to talk about it either, he doesn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him because let’s be honest it’s just going to p**s him off I promise you that. We do not know what the future holds at this moment in time and we want to be able to honor him while we have the opportunity because we don’t know if or when the opportunity may present itself again. The only thing we ask of you all is to come out and pack the place put on one hell of a show for a man who has helped so many people over the years and show him just how much he is appreciated and loved. For some extra support you can show up wearing purple, yellow, or navy blue as these are the colors of the cancer ribbon that represents his cancer.

Ending the race season with hotrod placing 2nd in bmod points, and johnboy 5th in points of street stock , we had a good season with a few minor setbacks, time to get ready for the 2024 race season!! thank you all for the support & business we have had this season! also shout out to Van allen - he won points championship in bmod this season, thank you for always choosing KRP for all of your racing needs van!

our crew went out to cedar ridge this weekend and ran their friday night show, hotrod lucked up and won the heat, and ended up second in the feature! john boy, took the street stock out for the first time this season and got third in heat, and got 5th in the feature. last night we got the jake hampton memorial car out and honored him last night for our “opening night” at the track, decent crowd and car count, which means there was some good racing as well! bmod ended up not making it threw the feature due to some brake issues, johnboy wheeled the street stock and ended 6th in the feature. all in all we loaded them up and got them home in one piece, which means a successful weekend for our first trip back to the track for the season!
