We have a couple positions we need to fill immediately. Here is the first we need to fill.
Draftsman
Pay: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
Job Type: Full-Time, In person
Shift and Schedule: 10 hour shift, 4 days per week

About Us: AFC Finishing Systems is a small business with a local owner that has manufactured paint spray booths and abrasive blast booths since 1967. AFC is a privately owned company with a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere, located in the quiet city of Weiser, Idaho. Position Summary: The Drafter is responsible for preparing shop drawings and making sure all prints match customer requests and follow our internal processes. The Drafter will also prepare parts for laser cutting and specify tooling used for press brake operations. We’re looking for someone reliable, who can work well with others, and is excited to work on different parts and projects every day.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed design drawings, and related specifications of mechanical equipment, according to engineering sketches and design proposal specifications
Develop custom designs of various items including: fabricated components, sheet metal parts and layouts, machined components and more
Confer with customers, engineers and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information.
Develop material lists from customer drawings for estimating and for cutting lists for production
Revision Control, identify customer print changes, update shop drawings accordingly
Excellent attention to detail, minimizing rework due to incorrect shop drawings
Design Cad Drawing using Autodesk Inventor
Effectively and proactively communicate with project managers, project engineers, and foremen during the drafting and construction process. This includes communication of challenges changes in design and construction
Ensure quality standards are met and communicate with operators when mistakes are made
Qualifications
Mechanical design / drafting experience required (AutoCAD/Inventor/Other 3D program – Solidworks, Pro-E)
Experienced in using AutoCAD or like programs
Computer skills, experience with Windows and Microsoft Office software
Ability to read/understand drawings, GD&T, schematics, and blueprints, and manufacture to the listed specifications
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Familiar with sheet metal machinery (press break, shear, welding) and other power tools
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
(Required) High school degree or equivalent
(Not Required but encouraged) 2-year associates degree in drafting or bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
