Did you know the Millennium Falcon didnt fly? The computer controlled camera moved with precise repeatable axes and paths around the the model. Sound like anything you know? Multi-axis servo systems, repeatable motion, coordinated control. John Dystka built the first one for Star Wars in 1976. The same frame work and concepts can be found in the use of Allen Bradley Kinetix or Siemens Sinamics drives (depending on your use case of course). May the 4th be with your uptime!

Happy Star Wars Day! ๐Ÿš€
Our techs are trained to repair industrial automation equipment. But when the Millennium Falcon rolled in, we weren't about to say no.

May the 4th be with you. Tag a coworker who would 100% bring this in as a "rush order."

Classic Automation has been supporting ABB Bailey systems since 2003.
Over two decades of stocking parts, repairing units, and keeping Net 90, Infi 90, and Symphony Plus systems running across power generation, chemical, oil and gas, and heavy manufacturing worldwide.
Our president Fritz Ruebeck knows this technology inside and out. He wrote the history of Bailey Controls himself. From E.G. Bailey's first boiler meter in 1916 to ABB's acquisition in 1999. It is all in there.
If you are running an ABB Bailey system, this is worth a read.
๐Ÿ‘‰

From the Bailey Meter Company in 1916 to ABB Symphony Plus today. Classic Automation has supported ABB Bailey systems since 2003. Parts and repair in stock.

Happy Earth Day. ๐ŸŒ
The greenest part is the one that already exists.
Repairing and refurbishing automation components keeps working hardware out of the waste stream. No new raw materials. No months-long wait on a replacement shipment. Just a tested, warranted part back in your hands in 2 weeks.
Repair is good for your line. Turns out it's good for the planet too.

One failed part. One phone call. One answer you did not want to hear.
Long lead times and shrinking OEM support are not new problems. But when your line is down, they become your problem fast. Unplanned downtime costs manufacturers an average of $260,000 per hour. That number does not care about your supplier's backorder list.
Classic Automation carries new and refurbished parts across thousands of manufacturers. Legacy, hard to find, discontinued. If it exists, we can source it, and if it is worn out, we can repair it. No dead ends. No 14-week wait. Just your part, ready to ship.

Meet the team. ๐Ÿพ
We've been in industrial automation for 20+ years and honestly? This is the most professional photo we've ever taken.
Every single one of us showed up on time, wore the uniform, and didn't complain about the lighting.
We can't say that about every team photo.
Happy April Fools' Day from your favorite parts people (and their very well-dressed associates). We're still here, we still have your parts, and we're still very much human...mostly.
