Another kennel trailer ready to be delivered

The late and great Jimmy Pope and I at "The Golf Course". This was one of the greatest Hunting Properties I ever had in Texas. Unfortunately, after the original owner passed his two sons decided to "improve" the ranch by spraying it for mesquite and cedar trees. The end result was a monochrome of grass and Post Oak trees. All the native brouse, low and midstory brush was eliminated. The ranch had always carried 120 mama cows that had over a 90% calving rate annually and had wonderful amounts of wildlife : whitetail deer Rio Grande Turkey Bob White Quail Morning Dove and Good Amounts of Waterfowl and a significant amount of hunting income. The ranch is now devoid of good wildlife habitat and is carring 130 head of mama cows but only has and 80 calving rate annually and no longer has hunting income. One son is a game warden and the other is an NRCS agent. It is a darm shame that this ranch has been ruined for wildlife and mismanaged for cattle.
