Due to the winter storm, the City of Waukesha is declaring a snow emergency effective from Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 10 p.m. until Monday, March 16 at 4:00 p.m.
During a snow emergency, no vehicles are allowed to be parked on City streets, as detailed in the Municipal Code (City ordinance 7.06). The snow emergency will allow the City crews the ability to clear the roads and make sure they are passable, especially for emergency vehicles.
For those requiring overnight parking, the City has two parking ramps in Downtown Waukesha that can be utilized for overnight parking:
▪️Transit Center Parking Ramp (212 E St. Paul Ave.)
▪️South Street Parking Ramp (241 South Street)
More information on parking is available on the City website (https://www.waukesha-wi.gov/parking.php ).
The City appreciates everyone’s patience and help as crews work to clear the roads in Waukesha and make them safe for travel.
