Ever wonder what it takes to make sure a K-9 never gets left behind? Check out the Erie County, Ohio Sheriff's Office truck in the video below.

To maximize safety and deliver a simple and clear message that informs the public what to do, you connect a Cool Guard system, from American Aluminum Accessories, to a BluePrint system, from SoundOff Signal. Whenever the Cool Guard senses a heat emergency inside the vehicle, it triggers a signal, telling the BluePrint system to activate the emergency lights and play the message you hear in the video. Simultaneously, the system activates a fan for ventilation and rolls down the back windows of the vehicle.

The audible and visual sequence will continue until the following parameters are met: the interior audible alarm is manually turned off, the fan is manually turned off, the emergency lights are manually turned off, and the audible message is manually turned off. There are many steps to shutting down the monitoring system and there are many steps to disabling a triggered alarm. This is all designed to keep our K-9 companions as safe as possible.

Erie County, Ohio Sheriff's Office recently took delivery of these two well equipped Silverado SSVs.

These dedicated K-9 units have an American Aluminum Accessories K-9 containment system and Cool Guard Plus. The Cool Guard also incorporates a K-9 heat monitoring system, ensuring the safety of the K-9 in the event of a heat emergency. These units also have a custom TRUCKVAULT truck bed organizer, a Setina Manufacturing push bumper with integrated lights, a console from Havis, Inc, and lighting from SoundOff Signal controlled by BluePrint.

Another new look for Perrysburg Township Ohio Police Department. Their first Ford F-150 Responder is equipped with all SoundOff Signal lighting which is controlled by BluePrint, a Supermax Cargo System by Setina, and a center console by Havis, Inc.

The F-150 Responder is equipped with a twin turbo V-6 motor which produces 400 horsepower and a 4x4 drive train all riding on all-terrain pursuit rated tires.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources has an extra level of security while officers leave their vehicles unattended for an extended period of time.

These F-150 Responders utilize a DefendIR system from Jotto / Tenhold, paird with a BluePrint system from SoundOff Signal.

When the DefendIR senses infrared motion in the cab of the vehicle, it triggers a sequence within the BluePrint system and produces the visual and audible response you see in the video. To disable the sequence or disarm the system, the officer simply turns on the ignition of the vehicle.
