When a single component is destined for millions of life-critical devices, there is no margin for error. For applications like pacemaker components or aerospace sensors, a manufacturing flaw isn't just a line item, it’s a systemic risk. At Braxton, we utilize individually cam operated presses to move parts through up to 25 production stations in one continuous, automated process. This method eliminates the variables introduced by manual handling and secondary assembly, ensuring that the first part off the line is as reliable as the millionth. By starting with flat stock and ending with a finished part, we achieve a level of mechanical consistency and near zero defect quality that mission-critical industries demand.

The most critical components shouldn't have weak points.
Unlike other manufacturing methods that require welding or joining, Braxton’s deep-drawn parts are produced from a single blank that is neither cut nor fused. This results in a completely seamless component, providing several high-reliability benefits:

▪ Watertight & Airtight: Perfect for sensitive medical and sensor applications.
▪ Superior Strength: Improved hoop strength because there are no joined edges.
▪ Electrical Performance: Lower RF leakage and better flow for micro-connectors.
▪ Near Zero Defect Quality: High repeatability ensures consistent performance in every batch.

By starting with flat stock and ending with a finished tubular part, we eliminate the risks associated with joined edges while minimizing material waste. Ready to upgrade to seamless precision? Let’s talk about your design.

Why wait months for prototype components? Braxton’s dedicated Rapid Prototype Department is designed to move your project from a CAD drawing to a physical part in as little as 4 weeks.

By leveraging our inventory of over 7,000 existing products, we can simulate actual production methods to create complex designs, including side holes, flares, and beads without the long lead times of custom tooling. Whether you need R&D samples or qualification test parts, we deliver the speed and material versatility (including stainless steel and titanium) needed to keep your project on schedule.

When your design requires a component smaller than the eye of a needle, material displacement becomes an art form. These micro components, with outer diameter of 0.006, are a testament to what is possible when deep-draw expertise meets custom tooling.

Braxton specializes in these ultra-miniature geometries, delivering high-volume repeatability where others see impossibility. Whether for interconnects or surgical tool components, we provide the scale you need without sacrificing the tolerances you demand. Challenge our engineering team with your smallest design. Contact us today to start the project evaluation.

The most expensive mistakes in manufacturing are often made at the drawing board. Our reviews are designed to identify potential bottlenecks long before production begins. By partnering with Braxton early in the design phase, our engineers help you optimize geometries for deep drawing, reducing material waste, eliminating secondary operations, and ensuring high-volume stability. We don't just act as a vendor; we act as an extension of your engineering team.

Optimize your design for success. Reach out today to start the project evaluation.

That’s a wrap on MD&M South 2026!
It was an incredible two days in Charlotte. We enjoyed meeting with so many of you at Booth #3005 to discuss how Braxton’s deep-draw capabilities can solve your most complex design challenges.

From "stepped geometry" to "uninterrupted grain flow," the technical conversations we had this week remind us why we love what we do. We’re headed back to our facilities in Connecticut and California to begin turning those design sketches into high-volume reality.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by. If we didn't get a chance to connect, our engineering team is always available to assist with your next project.

See you at the next one!

Exchanging ideas at the MD&M South was a great start, but we know that innovation requires more than a conversation. It requires a seamless transition from a design concept to a high-volume reality. As you return to your desks and review your project timelines, remember that Braxton is ready to move beyond the "booth sketch" to help you finalize:

Geometric Optimization: Refining your part's flare and taper for maximum structural integrity.
Material Validation: Selecting the ideal alloy for performance in life-critical environments.
Production Reliability: Moving from a 3-4 week rapid prototype into a high-volume run with near-zero defect quality.

The show may be over, but our engineering team is just getting started. Let’s take those show-floor discussions and turn them into your next production success.

It’s the final day of MD&M South at the Charlotte Convention Center.
If you’ve been walking the floor with a "problem part" or a design that other manufacturers won't touch, come see us at Booth #3005. We have our full display of micro-scale components on-site so you can see the results of our deep-draw process for yourself. Whether you need a quote or a 3-4 week rapid prototype, our team is here until the doors close to help move your project forward.

Let’s turn your "impossible" design into a reality before the show ends.

What you’re looking at aren't metal shavings or dust, they are fully formed, deep-drawn components. Achieving this level of repeatability across millions of parts requires more than just high-speed presses; it requires near zero defect quality and tolerances that challenge the limits of traditional measurement.

We are bringing our components to Charlotte so you can experience the true scale of what we do in person.

Will you be at MD&M South to see the impossible up close?
