Candidate will be assisting with setting pre-engineered structural steel, installing metal wall panels and standing seam roofs. Welding experience is a plus as most of the connections are bolted. Majority of the work will be done from a rough terrain boom lift. General carpentry activities will include framing with metal studs, hanging commercial doors, and installing specialty products. This is a learning position with expectations of becoming an ironworker or carpenter

It was a pleasure working with Washington Fire Department and Washington Engineering & Architecture, Inc. On a design build collaboration for fire station #6

The Washington Fire Department in partnership with the Washington Community Fire Protection District is pleased to announce the opening of Fire Station 6 at 7952 Highway KK, Washington, MO on today’s date. The station houses pumper/tanker 8163 a 2020 four door Spartan/Alexis fire apparatus with a 1,250 GPM pump, engine company equipment, an 1,800 gallon water tank with dump capabilities and a 2,100 gallon portable water tank. This apparatus provides both first in engine company capabilities as well additional water hauling for the rural area.

An open house and dedication for the Station and apparatus will be Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 1:00 PM.

Position Overview:
Candidate will be responsible for assisting controller in all functions within the accounting cycle, including but not limited to providing accounting and clerical assistance; preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records; running accounting software programs to process business transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts; and other bookkeeping and financial tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Daily entry of business transactions in accounting software
• Maintain job related entries and prepare weekly project invoices
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Communicate effectively both written and verbal
• Conducts business in professional manner

Qualifications:
• Education and Experience – Associates degree of higher in accounting is preferred or 2 years in an accounting position

Candidate will be driving a day cab road tractor, pulling a low boy trailer, delivering equipment locally. CDL with air brake endorsement is a must Candidate must have experience with operating a backhoe, skid steer, boom lifts, and telehandler. When not operating equipment, candidate will be required to work with crew setting steel and general carpentry

Ironworker:
Candidate will be setting pre-engineered structural steel, installing metal wall panels and standing seam roofs. Welding experience is a plus, however, most of the connections are bolted. Majority of the work will be done from a rough terrain boom lift. General carpentry activities will include framing with metal studs, hanging commercial doors, and installing specialty products. Ability to work at above ground elevations while wearing a harness and other protective equipment.
