Needing a part time mechanical helper at Standard Truck Parts, someone who is willing to work and knowledgeable with trailer and truck repair and if not, be willing to learn. Also must be able to keep record and log parts and other supplies used, as well as customer name and info to do each job. Your hours will vary depending on jobs we have going on. We are rearranging to serve our customers better. We are making changes to get work done faster, better recording of information and so we can have coverage longer for our customers who need after 3 pm work and weekend work. I know we all complained about the recent inconvenience of the bridge on Sandtown Road being closed but at Standard Truck Parts we met a lot of very kind people who worked there this summer in the heat and they would come up here everyday sometimes more than once and borrow our old microwave to heat their lunch or to grab a bag of chips and a Pepsi from the fridge and I just want to say how kind they all were and so respectful, I heard one place complaining about them coming there because they were often dirty and smelly from the work they were doing and yes some had tattoos or long hair etc and outwardly they may have looked rough BUT THEY ALL WERE SO KIND AND NICE and I JUST HAD one of them come in TODAY because he was here picking up their last storage van they had at the bridge and he wanted to just to stop by and say thank you to us for our kindness and to say they were working in Macon now and sure missed us. And of course I had to give him a Pepsi and bag of chips for the road. Don’t judge others by their appearance, they just might turn out to be a person who stops by to say hello and cheer you up on a day you need it.
