🌧️ We just installed a rain gauge at our O1nnovations office in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.

This isn’t just a weather instrument. It’s the start of our hyper-local rainfall data network — ground-truth data collected right where our communities live, where our RainCatcher systems are built, and where rain is both challenge and resource.

Here’s why it matters:
📍 Satelite rainfall data is generalized, broad and vague. Ours will be precise — community-level, real-time, and relevant.
💧 Better data = better-designed RainCatcher systems calibrated to actual local conditions.
🌦️ Long-term, this feeds into weather pattern analysis that can help communities prepare — not just react.

Every roof can tell us how much water a family could have.

We use drones to capture aerial images of floating communities. Through drone mapping and GIS analysis, we measure roof areas in floating communities to estimate rain capture potential and design better rainwater systems. What looks like mapping is really planning for water security—using technology to support communities living on the frontlines of climate change.

This World Water Day we’re reminded that water is everywhere, but safe, reliable access to it is not.

In many of the communities we work with, getting clean water still takes time, cost, and daily effort. It’s a reality that affects health, education, and how people live day to day.

That’s why we build with communities and schools turning rain into a source of safe, reliable water through our raincatcher systems.

Not as a one-time solution, but something that can be owned, maintained, and sustained locally. Because water access should be built with people, not just delivered to them.

Fulfilling our promise of providing water access, O1 at a time. 💧

Together with Rotary Club of San Francisco D3860, we built a Raincatcher System in a school where students once brought pails of water alongside their books and bags on their way to school.
