Construction is construction - even if it's built with Legos! Check out this excellent LEGO replica of the Washington Dulles Airport, one of our past projects where we built the United Polaris lounge.

This LEGO® masterpiece is a testament to the innovation and creativity that defines the aviation industry. We are proud to have contributed to the Washington Dulles Airport's legacy and are honored to see it immortalized in a unique and playful form.

A D.C. man dedicated nine months to making a Lego replica of Dulles International Airport last year.

From vision to reality, we were honored to play a pivotal role in the construction of the Woodrow Wilson Bridge, a project that connected communities and symbolizes the strength of engineering and the enduring legacy of leadership.

Amtrak recently released a 15-year strategy for expansion that will connect up to 160 communities to Amtrak service, increasing ridership, environmental sustainability, and economic investment. All of this will be done in an energy-efficient manner that reduces our nation’s carbon footprint through cleaner and more convenient passenger rail.

McKissack & McKissack is proud to serve as part of the design team for the massive project at Chicago’s Union Station. We’re taking the lead on community engagement, risk management, scheduling and constructability review.

We are thrilled to share the incredible work our dedicated team has accomplished for the Chicago Union Station Concourse Improvement Project Passenger Survey. In collaboration with Amtrak and Metra, the McKissack Team developed a survey that provides an opportunity to engage with station passengers for their valuable opinions on the concourse redesign.

Our commitment to delivering results without disruptions has been paramount.

The McKissack & McKissack team is proud to be a part of the modernization of Washington D.C.’s School Without Walls at Francis-Stevens. The project, expected to be completed next year, has involved remodeling, renovating, and upgrading various parts of the school’s interior, exterior facades, and more.

Kudos, in particular, to our leads on this project, Azuka (Azjargal) Bartlett and Aniket Nanda. Thanks to them, our education clients are arming students with the best environments possible to succeed.

McKissack & McKissack is proud to partner with Black & Veatch to provide construction management services for the construction of the Harvard Substation, a crucial part of the Pepco Capital Grid Project. The 230kV gas-insulated substation will replace the existing 34kV substation while maintaining the beautiful 113-year-old façade, all while giving new power to Washington, D.C.’s new networked grid system.

We are excited to contribute to enhancing energy reliability and resilience in the District of Columbia to benefit our valued customers and communities. Here’s to a brighter future in D.C.!
