Focus.
Cutting things from your to-do list is the most powerful thing you can do for your software development process.
We don't say this because we hate grand ideas or massive product visions, we say this because we've seen grand ideas and massive product visions fail time and time again because they lacked focus.
A product is not all things for all people. It is one or two things for a very specific set of people.
The more you can focus, not only on your target market and the problem you're solving but on the one thing you can create to solve that problem, the faster you'll find solutions and direction for moving forward.
Focus isn't about losing or cutting things from your to-do list. Focus is about gaining progress through hyper-vigilant around your most important goals.
