There’s a music festival coming up in Washburn! Sound Cheq Music Fest May 22nd-24th. Sadly, The Wood Bin has been in limbo. We had some things to do, some things to figure out, and honestly we had to get a little crazy! It took a bit of thinking outside the Bin you could say. Be sad no more, for we shall return for the people! Come hang with us if you’re around for the music fest! ✌️😎

Awesome new wood art! Something to keep you connected to nature while in the comfort of your own home. Each one of these pieces was found on the shores of Lake Superior. The textures of these pieces are amazing and they really draw the eye in for a closer look. Made by, me, Adam Monat: Owner/Operator of The Wood Bin, and co-created by sweet Lake Superior herself! We had a good friend/customer come to us looking to have a wooden box made for a few of his everyday tools at work. He didn’t need anything intricate, just a respectable place to lay his precision measuring equipment at the end of the day. We went with walnut wood for the box and gun metal gray hinges. He loved the final product, and he sent us back some photos of it in use. It feels good creating something that’s beautiful and functional. Thanks Richard!

The woodworking here has been making waves! That’s no surprise when you’re setup on the shores of the big lake. We’re surrounded by the greatest people and some of the most talented woodworkers. They say that wood holds many secrets, tales, and treasures. There’s something about this piece here. It’s like it’s trying to reveal some kind of treasure… I don’t know maybe it’s just us. 😉
