What do patient-accessible exam tables actually look like?

Accessible exam tables are no longer just a recommendation but a requirement for hospitals and medical facilities to create safer and more inclusive patient care environments. If your current setup no longer meets the new ADA accessibility standards, CME can help support your upgrade and planning needs.

Is your facility prepared for the upcoming ADA compliance deadline?

A medical cart that works well in one department may not be the right fit for another. Workflow, storage needs, department layout, security requirements, and the type of care being delivered all play a role in selecting the right cart. A well-chosen cart keeps supplies organized, brings equipment closer to the point of care, and helps teams work with fewer interruptions.

If you could change one thing about the current medical carts used in your facility, what would it be?

Today's blog post explores the features, configurations, and workflow considerations that can help healthcare facilities choose carts that better support their teams: https://hubs.li/Q04lW-Z20

The part of healthcare equipment delivery most people don't see.

Here's DTS Installer Diego Gomez completing a direct-to-site white-glove delivery to a West Coast hospital.

Before the final hand-off, Diego made sure each piece of equipment was:
- placed where it needed to go,
- carefully inspected and wiped down,
- photographed for documentation and
- ready for the care team to use. 👏

Patient rooms, recovery bays, and clinical workspaces are busier than ever. As healthcare facilities look for ways to improve workflow and accessibility in crowded care environments, compact medical carts are becoming an increasingly popular (and practical) solution.

When it comes to medical cart design, what do you prioritize most: maneuverability, accessibility, or storage capacity?

🎉 A big congratulations to our Service Technicians, Mike Buratczuk and Jen Amlaw, on recently passing their Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) exam, one of 3 requirements to complete our Biomedical Technician Training Program!

Since joining CME last fall, both Mike and Jen have quickly become valued members of the team. From supporting large customer accounts and performing hands-on equipment repairs to contributing ideas, research, and process improvements, they've both embraced every opportunity to learn and grow in their roles.

According to their manager, Drew Niedfeldt, it's become "a friendly race" to see who will complete the training program first. With both continuing to build their experience in the field, we'll be watching closely to see who crosses the finish line first. 😉

Please join us in congratulating Mike and Jen on this well-earned achievement!

Our first ever Virtual Pet Shelter Drive was a great success! 🐾💙

Through the generosity of our teams, our San Jose Service Center and Rhode Island office collected numerous donations to support local animal welfare organizations that help provide veterinary care, rescue and adoption services, and support programs for animals in need.

Donations were delivered to the RI Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RISPCA) and Humane Society Silicon Valley (HSSV). A hearty thank you to everyone who contributed, and a special thank you to our RI and CA teams for coordinating the collection and delivery efforts!

Do you think selecting a medical refrigerator is a) a purchasing decision, b) a clinical operations decision, or c) a risk management decision?

A medical refrigerator is much more than a colder version of a household refrigerator. The right unit must align with the products being stored, required temperature ranges, workflow needs, monitoring expectations, available space, and compliance requirements.

Here's to our direct-to-site (DTS) teams who continue to learn from one another, share their expertise, and help set the standard high for the work we do!

Last week, our Midwest DTS team completed a locker room installation for a large Chicago-based healthcare provider, delivering 24 banks of lockers with both floor and wall mounting. The project began weeks in advance with site walkthroughs, room layout planning, floor and wall assessments (which consisted of a lot of painters' tape!), and coordination with the customer to ensure everything was checked and ready to go on game day.

A special shoutout to Dan Bart, whose planning, leadership, and extensive knowledge helped guide this project from start to finish, and to Christian D'Onofrio, Memo Hernandez, Jaden Ramirez, and Martin Johnson for all their work on-site and their commitment to advancing their skills and learning throughout the process. 👏

CME's Shannon Trahan and Colby Trahan had a great time connecting with peers at the AMFP Houston’s 11th Annual Houston Hospital, Outpatient Facilities & Medical Office Buildings Summit this week!

What were some of the biggest topics of conversation at the event?
- how healthcare organizations are responding to capital pressures,
- building off-site infrastructures such as ASCs, clinics, and urgent care centers to accommodate growing patient populations,
- delivering quality care while balancing budget and timelines

For those who attended, what was your biggest takeaway from the event? Let us know in the comments!

Despite a rainy start, it turned out to be a great day on the course at the Old Natchez Country Club! ⛳

This week, CME's Katie Nipper and Brock Hammat attended the HealthTrust Golf Tournament in support of Breakthrough T1D. While the morning brought plenty of rain and schedule adjustments, the weather cleared for a beautiful afternoon filled with some friendly competition and great conversations.

We were also proud to sponsor a Mojo's Tacos food truck that kept attendees fueled with snacks, tacos, and margaritas throughout the day!
