Farewell to Rhode Galang

It was a bittersweet day today at Pease & Curren: we held a retirement party for long-time chemical operator Rhode Galang. Rhode spent over fifteen years at Pease & Curren, primarily in our wet chemistry room and silver refinery. Rhode has spend the last several months being extremely generous with the knowledge and wisdom he has gained over so many years, passing his skills down to other operators.

Of course, Rhode almost missed his luncheon. As the line queued for a fabulous Italian buffet, he was nowhere to be seen. Search parties found him at his station "finishing up a few things". To use a refining term, Rhode is truly PURE of heart.

Rhode has said that the first step next step is doing some work around the house, and so we gave him a tool set as a parting gift. Hopefully he comes and visits us often.
