I worked this afternoon during lunch to create a price guide being realistic and based on a couple of variations of the build.
Pricing is for 2 versions of this build.1 is for the bare bones, it works and looks similar to my version, a single handed operation of the enclsoure to open both doors at once.Options are a single window, rather than 4, 1 set of gas pistons, instead of 2, but then you can simply add ballast to the sliding door. You can opt out of metal lining of the cabinet initially, and maybe you have an extraction fan you would want to use already.Little things, but they add up.Reasitcally, you are looking at around $300 for the basic model and up to $580 for all the bells and whistles. In the build guide, I give you links to the nuts and bolts etc with sizing, etc, but you are buying 50 or 100 of them instead of just what you require. This alone would dramatically change the overall cost. Plus, I’m bout sure about you, but i had drawer slides and drawer slides and a blower motor laying around the workshop. Again, all of this will make big differences in overall cost.Personally, I am spending a lot more as I am designing a single press-button open and close functionality. For me, this has been completely worth the money and invenstment in all of my creations. The standard model is around $280 to $520 for the build.I am editing the plans to add the variations that you can build, based on how much you would like to spend.Thank you for those who asked about this, it made me think about all of this from another angle.
