About Salk’s
Salk’s Hardware & Marine is a family owned company founded in 1900 in Providence Rhode, Island. In 1917 the business moved to the Oakland Beach section of Warwick to cater towards the summer vacation community. In 1956 our present location in Warwick opened and evolved from a general store into a dedicated hardware store with a large marine department.
We opened a second store in North Kingston in 2010 and a third store in Seekonk, MA in 2019 offering the same products and services. In 2020 our 4th store in Wakefield opened to serve Southern Rhode Island.
Salk’s is a 5th generation business run by Jeffrey Salk, the fourth generation in the business along with his father Harold and sons Benjamin and Adam. We are a proud co-op of Ace Hardware offering locally relevant product and knowledgable advice to homeowners and local businesses. We love being a part of our communities and thank you for shopping with us for over 100 years!
