In 2019, we bought our first boat, Havoc, and started Havoc Charters with huge goals and ran with it without stopping. Since 2019, we have graduated college, bought a home, gotten married, and started a family. For 7 years I’ve been working 7 days a week at 2 (more than) full time jobs. As other business owners know, these working hours bleed late into hours and days “off”. My families plans had to take the unnecessary backseat on days I had to prioritize boat repairs or long winded charters.
Last season, I struggled a lot watching my kids grow older and never being able to spend enough time with them or my wife. This year I was silently dreading missing family time, yet again. We discussed the possibility of selling Havoc II at the end of season since we had commitments booked through the summer. To our surprise, we had an interested and eager buyer approach us who wanted to purchase ASAP. The offer was something that I knew would bless our family and give us one summer more than we had planned to be together.
That being said, Havoc II has officially been sold and the new owner has taken possession. The boat has just left VA Beach for New Jersey.
We greatly appreciate all of our clients, especially our “walkon regulars”, we never would have imagined how sucessful Havoc Charters would be and without you we would be nothing.
To our clients currently on the books for this season, we will be reaching out by the end of this week to help place you on other boats and process refunds.
I want to be clear, this is NOT the end of Havoc Charters. We simply have sold the boat and will be looking for what our next step is as a family and a business. Continue to follow us and our story, we look forward to being back on the water with you all in the near future!
