I just finished dying this breast collar for Danielle Bluestone Nixon yesterday. Now it matches her son's saddle, to help him look his best in the show ring!

ETA:
The leftmost image is a Before photo, although the leather is damp. The original color of the leather, when dry, was a beige or light tan.

The second photo is a detail shot, taken after it was complete.

The photo on the right shows the breast color after it was finished.

These pictures are of a piece of tooling I made last weekend, just for fun. The first picture shows the outlines and a few stamps done, and the second picture shows it after the tooling is finished and the leather has dried.

I do want to color this piece, but I haven't decided yet what colors to use where. What do you all think?

I recently made this as a gift for a friend. The cover is vintage embossed leather, and the shield is tooled and painted with her design. It has Coptic binding, which is a way of book finding that dates, back centuries and is still in use today.

I haven't posted much recently, but I'll have more completed projects to post soon. In the meantime, this is a small thing I made for fun the other night. He'd probably make a great hair clip, if someone would like that.

This lovely saddle is ready to be used to brighten up someone's home! It's a sturdy saddle, with lovely tooling, that I have restored.

You could use it as a stool, a swing, in a kids room, or as part of your decor at a horse show.

I finished this in March. It's the customer's favorite purse, with an old oil stain on it.

Since the stain could not be removed, I spoke with the customer about what she might like. Based on that discussion, I hid the stain behind appliqued 'feathers' made of deerhide, with the feather shafts embroidered on top.

She is delighted with the result!

Here is another hair clip I made. No two made this way will ever be quite alike! And the colors on each one can be customized for the recipient.

An item I recently created for a friend. She loves it!

I will be making more of these 'treasure boxes', with various designs. Custom tooling is also available!

Tooled and dyed leather with silver highlights, and a 'suede' interior. I used garment weight leather, with the underside showing, so it feels like suede.

The lacing closure is very easy to use, even with tired or sore hands.

The box is straight and functional; it looks off-kilter because only one side is tucked under the lid.
