We want to thank all the firefighters and employees that answered the call Tuesday morning at Xpress Recycling and all first responders who answer calls every day. We were able to get the fire under control very quickly. Unbelievable team work. No injuries or equipment loss. Now we ask our customers to team up with us to help be on the lookout for lithium batteries and combustible items in scrap loads.

We didn’t have to deal with these items as much ten years ago , but now it seems to be something we have to be more diligent about today. Videos downloaded show what can happen when these items slip through the scrap stream. Please help us to keep our customers, employees and first responders safe.
