At industry events this year, our team has been sharing research that is helping shape how minimally invasive valve surgery is viewed in practice.

A recently published 7-year, multi-center study on µAVR using our RAM® device and supporting technology uses a method called propensity matching. This compares patients with similar characteristics to evaluate outcomes more accurately.

Among 259 matched patients, results included 0% 30-day mortality, 0% paravalvular leak, and 0% persistent atrial fibrillation.

Findings like these help build confidence in minimally invasive approaches and support broader adoption, with the goal of improving care and recovery for cardiac patients everywhere.

Consistency in surgical technique plays a critical role in patient outcomes.

In valve surgery, the use of COR-KNOT® titanium fasteners in place of traditional hand-tied knots allows sutures to be secured quickly and consistently, supporting efficiency and reliability in the operating room.

Published research suggests that this approach may be associated with reduced risks of long-term complications, including prosthetic dehiscence and infective endocarditis.

Supporting more consistent techniques is one way innovation continues to improve outcomes for patients.
