Rooted in heritage. Built on family. Inspired by possibility.
My father was born in Sicily and came to America seeking a better life. My mother was born here, with family roots in Avellino. Together, they made our Italian heritage the heart of our home.
For my two brothers and me, that meant respect and reverence for our parents, responsibility for one another, and learning to stand on our own. We learned to cook, clean, iron, and do our share—not simply as chores, but as lessons in independence and caring for a family.
The kitchen was the center of our home. Food brought us together, but what stayed with us went far beyond the table: our traditions, our conversations, and the example our parents set.
Even today, when I meet other Italian Americans, I’m struck by how familiar their stories feel. Different families, different hometowns, so many shared experiences. Growing up in Fairfield, New Jersey, those connections were woven into our everyday lives.
On Columbus Day, I think of my father and the generations who came to America with the hope of creating something better for their children. Today, I celebrate their courage, their work, and the legacy they entrusted to us.
As the founder of Solutions Architecture, I carry those lessons with me: respect people, take pride in your work, honor your commitments, and build something that lasts.
I am proud to be an Italian American. Solutions Architecture is proud to join me in celebrating Columbus Day and honoring those who came before us.
