The application deadline for the FY26 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) Grant program is quickly approaching.

Funded through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, this opportunity supports projects that reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries.

Key deadline:
May 26, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. (CDT)

Two grant opportunities available:
• Planning & Demonstration Grants (develop or enhance safety action plans)
• Implementation Grants (execute projects tied to an existing action plan)

Examples of eligible projects include:
• Comprehensive safety action plans
• Intersection and corridor safety improvements
• Traffic calming and speed management strategies
• Pedestrian and bicycle infrastructure
• Complete streets upgrades
• Safety education and demonstration initiatives
