FCP Steel Fab recently completed custom structural steel fabrication for two massive farmer solar array reservoir covers, each approximately 110 feet by 600 feet, supporting a 1.73 MW renewable energy project in Santa Paula, California.

From challenging structural requirements to navigating material costs and project schedules, FCP worked closely with the project team to deliver a successful solution.

A special thank you to Farmers Irrigation Company, REC Solar, Ventura Energy, and Motive Energy for the opportunity to contribute to this innovative infrastructure and renewable energy project. We're proud to have played a role alongside such a dedicated team of professionals.

🤔 How do you connect existing warehouse pick modules without disrupting the facility's layout?

FCP recently engineered and fabricated two custom industrial steel crossover bridges at a distribution facility, connecting elevated pick modules at different levels.

The challenge? Integrating new steel structures into an existing rack system while maintaining aisle clearance and improving material movement between work areas.

👏 Through creative engineering and close coordination with project partners, FCP delivered a custom solution designed around the facility's existing infrastructure.

For general contractors, material handling integrators, warehouse operators, and facility managers, FCP brings more than 40 years of experience solving complex industrial steel challenges.

⛏️ Built for Safety. Engineered for the Environment.

When a mining facility in Rico, Colorado needed a custom guardrail solution, Arnold Machinery Company partnered with FCP to turn detailed engineered drawings into a precision-fabricated guardrail system built for a demanding outdoor environment.

The galvanized steel guardrails were designed to provide protective barriers for personnel while serving another important purpose—helping prevent local wildlife from accidentally falling into the facility’s open process areas.

With a tight deadline, exacting dimensions, and no room for field-fit surprises, coordination was critical. FCP delivered a high-quality guardrail system that fit as intended, met the project schedule, and provided the corrosion resistance needed for Colorado’s changing weather conditions.

As AMC’s Jon Danos shared: “FCP exceeded expectations and was pivotal in ensuring successful implementation of this project.”
