Everything lined up, it was crazy. If something was off it was because the foundation was a 1/4” higher over here and we could tell it when we were putting the steel up. It was that accurate, and when they bolted it together it was just profound! They looked across the top of the trusses and down the ridgeline and everything, it was straight on. It was easier to build than a pole barn.

What’s the Biggest Mistake People Make When Building a New Shop?

Spend enough time around farmers and shop owners and you’ll hear the same thing:

“If I had it to do over again, I’d do it differently.”
Maybe the building was too small.
Maybe the doors ended up in the wrong place.

Maybe posts are right where you need to drive equipment.

Time to give some credit where credit is due! 👏

A few years ago, we discovered SmartBuild Systems and immediately saw the potential. Being able to give customers a visual of their building before fabrication even begins is a game changer — and even more impressive is everything the software handles behind the scenes from start to finish.

While the process has involved plenty of trial and error along the way, we’ve made huge strides customizing the software to better represent our steel/lumber hybrid buildings. We truly appreciate SmartBuild for working alongside us and helping tailor the program to fit our needs.
