WELCOME “Shooter” to the Sandhills FarmTech Team!

After an exhaustive search, we’re proud to announce that Shooter has joined our team as LEAD MECHANIC & MASTER WELDER.

Shooter has decades of experience and holds 19 Master Certifications in all types of welding. He also holds an OSHA Safety Certification which is important to our growing business.

Shooter is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a real patriot.

Featuring a farming background, knowledge of horses and solid ethics, we’re confident he’ll provide the high level of safety, quality & service that clients have come to EXPECT from Sandhills FarmTech.

The best text exchange that I had with a client this month…

I went to a client’s farm yesterday to check her Trailer Axles before a trip to South Carolina. After checking them and her tires, I asked her to check for “heat” after a few hours on the road, just to be sure.

Caught Up!
(On Horse Trailer Ramp rebuilds anyway.)

This one… a work of art. No wood, just 100% Aluminum.

As you can see, the manufacturer used a light weight aluminum skin with a weak seam in the middle.

We Re-Built it, welding in heavier gauge aluminum. Also, we made it from one contiguous sheet, eliminating the weak seam that failed.

This one will handle many large horses. It’ll outlast us all.

Must have:
- Warmblood Size (7’-6” Headroom)
- Tack room
- Escape Door(s)

If the price is correct, willing to service and make it perfect. (But, no basket-cases.)

“Spontaneity” & a COMPLETE Make-Over…

This well-used and loved trailer was in the shop for a while!

- New wall was installed with all new padding, after we removed the “rot”
- Rotted Floor replaced.
- Electric wiring harness repaired and modern new LED lights installed.

Oh… Spontaneity is good in a relationship. But NOT good if your trailer doors spontaneously open while traveling🙃.
- So, we added “real” Horse Trailer Latches to the doors!

Electric Fans and Lights !

This client wanted FANS & LIGHTS that work even when the trailer is NOT connected to their truck.

So, we laid out a new wiring harness, mounted up these 2-speed fans and added a battery to the front of the trailer. The battery charges from the truck when connected and SOLAR when it's parked in their pasture.

100% Silicone Filled Connectors with Shrink Tube at all critical areas. Fused and has a MASTER off switch for when it's parked.

It's a pretty trick set-up.

Trailer RAMP rotted out? No problem !

We had this KEIFER BUILT in the shop for a Tail-Gate / RAMP REBUILD. I've seen trampolines with less "bounce".

Trailer had been sitting for a few years. Was showing some age. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Owner is picking up her new horse next week... I hope the horse has as much "BLING" as this rebuilt rear-end!
