🌱 Meet the Team — Welcome Taryn Bye 🌱
We’re excited to welcome Taryn Bye to the SOMOS team as our Engineering Operations Specialist.
What makes Taryn such a great addition is her mindset. She’s resilient, adaptable, and comfortable pivoting when life calls for it — understanding that growth doesn’t come from a straight line, but from learning, adjusting, and continuing forward with honesty.
That perspective is what drew her to SOMOS. A company that values people, invests in training, and embraces growth through patience and purpose felt aligned with who she is and how she wants to grow.
Raised in Parkland, WA, Taryn learned independence early and has never followed a rigid plan — only opportunities that felt meaningful. After navigating a career-altering injury, she leaned into change and found a role where design, efficiency, and thoughtful ex*****on come together to support engineering teams.
Outside of work, Taryn loves staying active — hiking, skiing, kayaking, and training for races. After sitting out a year due to a broken foot, she recently completed her first half marathon, a true testament to perseverance. At home, she enjoys slower moments with her dogs, Corgo and Tongo, who keep her grounded and smiling.

Estamos muy contentos de darle la bienvenida a Taryn Bye al equipo de SOMOS como nuestra Especialista en Operaciones de Ingeniería.
Lo que hace a Taryn una excelente incorporación es su mentalidad. Es fuerte ante la adversidad, adaptable y se siente cómoda cambiando de rumbo cuando la vida lo requiere — entendiendo que el crecimiento no viene de un camino recto, sino de aprender, ajustar y avanzar con honestidad.
Esa forma de ver la vida es lo que la atrajo a SOMOS. Una empresa que valora a las personas, invierte en su desarrollo y fomenta el crecimiento con paciencia y propósito se alineó naturalmente con ella.
Criada en Parkland, Washington, Taryn aprendió independencia desde temprana edad y nunca ha seguido un plan rígido — solo oportunidades que se sentían significativas. Después de enfrentar una lesión que cambió su carrera, abrazó el cambio y encontró un rol donde el diseño, la eficiencia y la ejecución consciente apoyan al equipo de ingeniería.
Fuera del trabajo, a Taryn le encanta mantenerse activa: senderismo, esquí, kayak y entrenamiento para carreras. Después de pasar un año fuera por una fractura en su pie, recientemente completó su primer medio maratón, un verdadero reflejo de perseverancia. En casa disfruta momentos tranquilos con sus perros, Corgo y Tongo, quienes la mantienen con los pies en la tierra y siempre sonriendo.
