Orchards Feed was established in 1889, making it the oldest existing business in its original location in Clark County Washington. It originally started out as simply a country feed store where surrounding farmers bought feed for their cows, rabbits, chickens and pigs. The Carlson family bought the business in 1989 and began to expand the store by including supplies for dogs, cats, horses and wild

life. While we may not stock elephant feed or alligator chow, we know where to get it and what it sells for. Our main focus of products falls into five major categories. Those include horse and livestock, pets, wild bird, lawn and garden, and heating fuel. We carry a broad spectrum in each category to take care of a wide range of customers. We pride ourselves on not only carrying and having in stock those items you need, but also if we don’t stock what you want we will get it for you. And if you want it brought to you, we will even deliver it. We are a business that prides itself on consistency, history and community. We have been here for over 120 years and expect to be here for another 120 years. The Orchards Feed team has more experience in this business than any of its competitors in the area. With management having a combined 50 plus years’ experience, we are unequalled in the industry. Customer Service is also a cornerstone of our business philosophy. Our dear friends Marge and Kristy brought in our wonderful Honey House Farms honey order. We are stocked with so many different honey varieties and all of the sizes, from.honey sticks to gallons!

And I got one of my favorite things, a hug from Marge, the best part of our orders.

The honey is located right inside the front door of Orchards Feed Store and if you have not tried their honey, you need to!

Also available their bee pollen and gift towers, always a welcome gift, well Unless you are like Ryan, who besides not liking farm fresh eggs, also doesn't like honey. Jeeze Ryan 😆

Spa day by our very own Orchards Feed Store staff Brittany Robinson!

The Andrews got their goaty pedicures, Charlie and Charlie Brown got pedicures and their winter Finn Sheep wool jackets sheared, and Sookie and Bella had their pedicures and beautiful alpaca wool trimmed.

We love our Farm Family Friends and we make sure we care for them, so today is spa day this week our amazing Vet Alice from Eclipse Equine Veterinary will be coming to give everyone their booster shots and check ups.

Did you know all of our Farm Animals were either gifted to us by amazing customers who needed to find forever homes, some were rescued but all are here for good. We don't charge to visit them, our mission is to give young and old a place to come and pet them, talk w them and disconnect from city life.

Does it cost us money, yep, full time care from our staff, grooming fees, vet fees, feed and supplies, but we do it so y'all can connect w these critters than need you as much as you need them. We are different than other stores, we try to make sure you feel like you are stepping back into a different era of shopping.

Well theres one thing you can say for sure about our staff here at Orchards Feed Store, they are getting really, really, really well acquainted with plants this nursery season!

We are bursting at the seams with veggies, herbs, annuals, perennials, shrubs, vines, roses, fruit trees, ornamental trees and tropicals.

We are ramped up and ready to help you with any of your garden needs. We got you covered from top notch plants that are healthier and cheaper than any of the spendy big box around you to our great variety of tool, fertilizers and soils.

Let us know what we can do to help, we want to make this, old-a-little-rough- around-the-edges-not-too-many-frills-but- still-dang-unique-farm-pet-hardware-nursery, store your place to shop!

P.s. to our Portland/Oregon customers (18% of our customers) did you know that I did some price comparisons and added our Washington sales tax to our prices and we still are less expensive than most of your stores down there. Jessie was the epitome of "overly excited" to see that we have a rack of petunias out on the front porch of Orchards Feed Store. But even more excited to see the special "by the Flat" pricing.

$19.99 for a flat of 6, Jumbo 6 packs of beautiful fragrant Petunias. Thats 36 plants for only .55 a plant. Wanting to put in color spots in your hanging baskets, pots or even directly in your garden, this mix is for you. A favorite of hummingbirds and butterflies, they can stand up to the brutal heat we experienced a couple days ago and are more forgiving if the occasional "oops I forgot to water".

We will continue to do more specials like this, but remember our regular pricing on our nursery stock is already awesome. And wait, just wait til you see tomorrow's post.

Happiest of Mother's day to two of our employees who look out and act as our "Work Mothers" here at Orchards Feed Store , Deb and Kathi.

They both constantly check in w the staff, give out hugs and advice and genuinely care about all of us. Without them the front end wouldn't run smoothly, the shelves be stocked and special orders placed and called. They do all that on top of asking how everyone is doing, slipping food to those who look hungry lending a ear when things are hard, being incredibly funny & harping me about not drinking enough water. Lol

Deb and Kathi we love you and Orchards is who it is cause of Orchards Employees like you. Happy Work Mothers Day!
