A closer look at the scale, complexity, and precision behind one of our ongoing fabrication projects.

The 'first level' (shown painted white) break down into six individual modules. Each one of those modules follow a specific build plan so to avoid 'stick building' as much as possible. It's the planning before the work happens that makes all the difference, and our team excels at this - seeking all opportunity to collaborate before critical decisions are made.

The scale of this project is difficult to fully capture, but with the second level now assembled across its full length, the sheer size and complexity of this structure are becoming clear.

Spanning a significant portion of our fabrication bay, this assembly represents the precision, engineering coordination, and manufacturing capabilities required to execute projects of this magnitude.

Next comes another critical phase: controlled disassembly to prepare the pedestal level for blasting, followed by reassembly and the continued stacking of structural sections.

The work doesn’t stop when the fabrication is complete.

These pictures were taken a few weeks back as this critical defense structure moves into its final stages of painting and another essential layer of protection is being added—one designed to help safeguard the structure against corrosion, harsh environments, and the test of time.

From the drawing board to the shop floor.

This is the start of a new project: a Tainter gate engineered for critical water-control. What begins as a detailed drawing, with components like the diaphragm plate mapped out to exact specifications, will soon become a precision-fabricated structure built to perform in demanding conditions.
