Such an amazing and energizing week of meeting the next generation of talent! Yesterday, the ConBelt team had the privilege of attending the Medina County Career Center’s annual job fair, and what an event. With 80+ employers and an impressive turnout of motivated students, the atmosphere was full of energy and possibility.
Thank you to Medina County Career Center for hosting such a well organized and impactful event. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share who we are, what we do, and why we’re passionate about manufacturing excellence.
At ConBelt, we believe in investing in the future of our workforce, and events like this remind us just how bright that future is.

What an exciting day at Polaris Career Center for their Job Fair! Lex Zeitler and Doug Tytko had the privilege of spending the day talking with so many bright young minds about the world of manufacturing and welding.
It’s always rewarding to connect with students who are eager to explore hands‑on careers. The energy was nonstop—great conversations, tons of curiosity, and a whole lot of future talent exploring what their careers could look like. If today showed us anything, it’s that the next generation of skilled tradespeople is fired up and ready to make an impact.
We walked away inspired, energized, and excited for what’s ahead. The future of the trades is looking bright, and we’re proud to be part of the spark.

This has been a leading conversation in our industry for the past few years, and the workforce shortage brought on by Covid-19 era has accelerated our discussions. Could you imagine infrastructure being severely affected? The next generation of, not only welders, but tradesmen all together, is small. Manufacturing is the heartbeat of America, it is critical to support it.

Welding is a large part of our Fabrication process. Over the past few years ConBelt has introduced Robotic technology to some of our welding processes. This has helped with overall productivity, and has made the work environment better for the operator. Currently, we are in the very beginning discussions of a large and heavily engineered air filtration and cooling retrofit. Our goal is to attract the younger workforce by providing them a clean and comfortable working environment and providing them with specialized training catered to our products.

Companies like Able Steel are taking steps in the right direction to help show the younger workforce that there are great career opportunities outside of college. There will be some very highly sought after skills within the coming years. What are your thoughts? What do you see in your area of work?

Able Steel Fabricators, Mesa, Ariz., is preparing for a future where structural steel fabricating and welding expertise is not as readily available.
