As we close this 2022, we reflect on the achievements and challenges of this year. Monarch Engineers had a good year in all of its lines of services. In our primary market (California), we completed full development of two commercial properties, designed several Tenant improvement projects, provided structural engineering design on several tenant improvement projects, MEP engineering services on several other projects. Our engineering services to the special event industry recovered to pre-pandemic level. Our Accessibility consulting (ADA) increased by adding several government clients. Our national design and engineering projects lagged from other years with just two projects one in Illinois and another in South Carolina. Our international group went around the world this year with planning & design, and structural engineering services in Bermuda, Plymouth UK, Cadiz Spain, Geneva Switzerland, Dubai UAE, Singapore, and Christchurch New Zealand. Overall a good year and looking forward to 2023 which is starting on a good note. We have 4 full development projects in the books, several restaurant and office tenant improvement projects, ongoing contracts for accessibility ♿️ consulting, and planning & design of major sporting events; always moving forward.

We just finished our first project in the middle east. Dubai was an interesting place to design buildings. Looking back at all the continents that we have done engineering and design building, only Antarctica is the only one left. We have done design or consulting work in all the other continents. Not bad for a small engineering and building design firm.

We are back in the big sports events after the pandemic shutdown. Monarch Engineers just finished the design of the infrastructure for SailGP competition in Bermuda this coming April. Next stop is Italy; short season this year due to the pandemic. The competition circuit comes back to the Bay Area in 2022.
