Good day everyone

As most of you are aware. We are in the process of closing and selling the inventory and equipment. We are on limited hours as well. It’s been a wonderful adventure to have worked for the community and kept things running. This isn’t an easy transition but it’s time. Thank you to all that have used our services through the years. It’s been greatly appreciated. Our customers were not just considered customers. They were our friends.

It's with sadness and happiness to announce the retirement and closing of Cox Electric Motor Service Inc. We've enjoyed the 44 years of service we have provided to the area. We will gladly give you options for your electric motor needs as we can no longer accept anymore work, so that we may concentrate on the work already bestowed upon us and we can complete for our customers. We can sell any part you may need etc, just no more work in the shop will be accepted.

It’s become time to be true to myself and to my health. As most of my friends and family know I own and operate Cox Electric Motors located in Urbana Il. I’ve worked here for 38 years and have owned it for 28. Long story short. It’s time for me to be done. I’m selling the equipment, inventory and business. The building is owned by my landlord which I’m sure a lease could be made. The customer base has been excellant and they deserve a shop in this area for repairs If anyone is seriously interested. Our small business has taken a few blows these past few months. Employee surgery, immediate family member illness etc. We are struggling to keep up with work and demands, but we are doing our best. I hope that patience and understanding from our customers can hang on a little longer as we try to maneuver through this cycle we are dealing with at the moment. We appreciate each and everyone of our customers and without you there would be no COX ELECTRIC.
