After 49 years of moving the needle as Fall River Foundry’s quality engineering manager Jeff Vick is retiring. Jeff has been an integral part of the success of Fall River Foundry and his legacy will continue to move the company forward. We celebrated with Jeff this week. He will be missed.

Position: CNC Machining Foreman – 2nd Shift Job Type: Full Time
Pay: Salary $28.00 - $32.00 per hour + Shift Premium Reports To: Machine Shop Supervisor

Fall River Foundry CNC Department 2nd Shift Foreman is responsible for ensuring all the machine operators are working in a safe manner and following safety protocols. The foreman is also responsible for ensuring the quality of production parts and production efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining processes, exceptional leadership abilities and a strong eye for detail. Below are the qualifications but we encourage you to apply if you have the drive for this position. We will help train the right candidate.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of three years of experience in CNC machining, with at least one year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Ability to work 3:30 P.M. to 2:00 A.M. Monday - Friday.
• Must possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Must possess problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
• Must have basic knowledge of cutting tools and cutting tool nomenclature.
• Must have knowledge of tool geometry and ability to make offsets.
• Must possess basic blueprint reading skills.
• Must possess basic hand tool measuring experience (I.E: calipers, micrometers, depth mics and bore gages).
• Experience with Fanuc and Okuma CNC controls is a plus.
• Experience with robots is a plus.
• Experience operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) is a plus.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise the CNC machine operators to ensure safety, quality, and the efficiency of production.
• Change cutting tools when necessary.
• Inspect parts for dimensions and visual defects.
• Monitor the inspection reports from the CMM and adjust machining when necessary.
• Follow the production schedule.
• Work with Maintenance Technician on machine issues and repair.
