Founded in 1976, DeGeest is a 3rd generation family-owned business located in Tea, SD with a history of innovation and excellence in manufacturing making “A Stronger Standard” possible through its business lines of Steel Works, Finishing, and Automation. We are a third-generation family-owned business with a rich history and a promising future of innovation and excellence. Our 137,000 square foot

facility in Tea, South Dakota employs the hardest working skilled professionals in steel manufacturing, finishing, and automation. We utilize our industries latest fabricating and painting processes to produce complex steel weldments for customers that ship to North America, South America, Europe, and Asia. Leveraging the experience of DeGeest Steel Works teams in wet coat paint, automation, robotics and software, DeGeest Corporation is bringing advanced technology to the finishing industry and making it available for all manufacturers. As the North American distributor, integrator, manufacturer and technical support for mechanical and software in LestaUSA self-learning painting and finishing robots built for industrial finishing applications, we are poised to advance the paint finishing industry in North America. We employ a highly efficient automated process to maximize both our technology and the skill of our people. Doing so has dramatically increased our capabilities – but more importantly – strengthened our relationships with customers, suppliers and employees. Happy 5-year work anniversary, Tony Kerkhove!

For the past five years, Tony has been an important part of our Finishing Department as a Lead Painter. He keeps the paint line running efficiently, helps ensure parts move through smoothly and is always ready to jump in and solve problems when they come up.

No matter what's needed, Tony is willing to do whatever it takes to help get quality products out the door and into our customers' hands. His dependable attitude, willingness to help and commitment to the team are a great example of 𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 in action.

Cheers to 3 years, Rylen Pierce!

Rylen brings enthusiasm to work every day and is always ready to learn something new. He has developed strong skills working with our robotic systems and continues to grow his knowledge across the shop. He's also known for sharing thoughtful ideas that help improve processes and increase efficiency - making a positive impact on both his team and our operation.

Rylen's willingness to learn, contribute and look for better ways to do things reflects 𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 every day.

Please join us in celebrating Louis on his first year with DeGeest!

Louis has been a fantastic addition to the team. He starts each day early, brings an easy-going attitude, and is always willing to lend a hand wherever it's needed. While you'll often find him running the AccuPress, he's always happy to jump in and help support other equipment and teammates.

His reliability, flexibility and positive approach reflect 𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 every day, and we're grateful to have him on the team.

Today we're celebrating Jessie Shamatt and 8 years of dedication at DeGeest!

As the Lead in our Finishing Department, Jessie is someone the team can always count on. Whether he's overseeing the tank area, helping maintain the blaster, supporting packaging, or loading and unloading the paint line, Jessie is always willing to do what it takes to keep things moving and deliver for our customers.

His positive attitude, teamwork and willingness to help wherever needed truly reflect 𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱.

Happy 2-years at DeGeest, Frankie Martinez!

As part of our Paint Prep and Finishing department, Frankie is always willing to jump in wherever help is needed. From assembling tanks and putting pedestals together to hanging products on the paint line, prepping parts, packaging, and more, he's someone the team can count on to get the job done.

Frankie's positive, can-do attitude and willingness to help wherever needed are a great example of 𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 in action.

Celebrating Aaron Troll’s 5th anniversary at DeGeest!

Aaron is an important part of our Paint Department team and is always willing to lend a hand wherever needed. From prepping parts and helping with tank assembly to taking parts down from the paint line, Aaron plays a big role in keeping things running smoothly.

His hard work, teamwork and positive attitude truly reflect 𝗔 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱 each day.

Happy 6-year anniversary, Ryan TeGantvoort!

For the past six years, Ryan has been an important part of the DeGeest team, bringing a unique combination of technical expertise, curiosity and collaboration to everything he does.

This past year, Ryan took the lead on the ERP transition for the Steelworks side of the business, embracing a new challenge and helping drive a successful outcome. His ability to learn new subjects quickly and solve complex problems makes him a valuable resource for both his team and the company.

What truly stands out about Ryan is the way he works with others. His calm, thoughtful approach and passion for continuous improvement make him someone teammates enjoy collaborating with and trust when tackling difficult challenges.
