Dunaway's CEO and Principal, Chris Wilde, PE, recently participated in
Morrissey Goodale, LLC's M&A and Capitalization Symposium. Chris served as a panelist for "Building and Sustaining a Generational Firm," a discussion centered on how employee-owned firms prepare for the future by investing in leadership development, strengthening ownership culture, and creating the structures needed to support long-term growth and continuity.

We appreciate the opportunity to engage with industry peers and contribute to conversations that help strengthen the future of the AEC industry.

Permitting is often seen as a final step before development can move forward. In reality, the right entitlement strategy can influence a project's success long before the first application is submitted.

That's why Dunaway has a dedicated Entitlement Team. Focused on navigating approvals, coordinating with municipalities, and helping clients anticipate challenges before they become obstacles, this group brings clarity to an increasingly complex process.

Serving as the bridge between project teams, jurisdictions, and stakeholders, they help create greater certainty, reduce risk, minimize delays, and keep projects moving forward.

Swipe to meet the team and learn how they're helping deliver successful projects across Texas.

Dunaway quickly felt less like a workplace and more like a family. When I moved on to new goals, they supported and encouraged me just like family would.

Dunaway has evolved into a robust, multidisciplinary firm through strategic acquisitions, scaling its team well beyond the small-company environment I originally knew. Remarkably, despite this substantial growth, the firm’s core family-like culture has remained entirely unchanged.

My connections with co-workers mean the world to me. Back when I started as a receptionist, I formed close ties with clients, too, and one even gave me a wonderful gift when I left for my next adventure.

When market conditions change, the strength of a project team is often measured by how well its members work together.

From fluctuating material costs and long lead times to supply chain challenges, delivering projects on schedule for K-12 clients requires more than technical expertise. It requires collaboration, flexibility, and a shared commitment to finding solutions.

In our latest insight, Dunaway's Jennifer Douglas, P.E. and Northstar Builders Group's Jack Ream share lessons learned from projects like Ruth Cherry Elementary in Royse City ISD, Fate High School, and Willard Middle School in Celina ISD, highlighting how early communication, proactive planning, and strong partnerships helped keep projects moving forward despite uncertainty.

Members of Dunaway’s Planning + Landscape Architecture team were thrilled to attend an unveiling ceremony earlier at Baylor University this month celebrating the newly named Moody School of Education.

The Moody Foundation's generous $30 million grant marks an exciting new chapter for the school, and to commemorate the gift, Dunaway was selected to design two monument signs showcasing its new name.

We’re honored to play a small part in recognizing this milestone and creating a lasting expression of the Moody Foundation’s impact on the school and its future students. Sic 'em bears! 🐻

Members of Dunaway's Houston office had a blast participating in The American Institute of Architects Houston Sandcastle Competition last weekend.

This annual event brings together hundreds of architecture, engineering, and construction professionals along the Texas coast in the City of Galveston, Texas - Government in support of the AIA Houston Chapter. 🏖️

For the second year in a row, Dunaway teamed up with Butler-Cohen Design + Build to brave the Texas heat and bring the "Tide Keeper's Library" to life, a sea creature-themed sandcastle featuring "The Tidekeeper - Guardian of the Ocean's Memory."

Thanks to everyone who helped make this year's event a success. We're already looking forward to next year!

Happy National ! 🔄 Roundabouts do more than keep traffic moving – they can improve safety, enhance connectivity, and create defining features for the communities they serve.

In Fort Worth, Dunaway designed the multi-lane roundabout at Summer Creek Drive and McPherson Boulevard as part of a public-private partnership with the City of Fort Worth and adjacent landowners.

With multidisciplinary services spanning civil engineering, planning + landscape architecture, survey, traffic, ROW, and construction administration, the project was designed to enhance access to nearby schools, support future development, and improve traffic operations in the surrounding area.

This , we're excited to celebrate roundabouts and the thoughtful planning and engineering that keep communities moving.
