JOB DUTIES:
• Safely load, unload, and transport rental inventory to customer locations in a timely, safe, and courteous manner
• Demonstrate operation and safety features of rental equipment and determine customer’s ability to use the equipment
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspection
• Maintain the service and appearance of the transport vehicle, equipment, and inventory
• Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Dispatcher and Manager
• Perform other duties as requested

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Frequent holding and grasping with hands when loading, unloading, and chaining down equipment
• Frequent use of hands and feet to operate equipment and transport vehicles
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• A high school diploma or equivalent GED
• Valid CDL Class A / CDL Class B Driver’s License and clean driving record Minimum of 1 year CDL driving experience
• Attention to safety and detail
• Customer service orientation
• Ability to navigate efficiently
• Knowledge and compliance of state regulations regarding height and weight maximums and winch operations
• OSHA familiarity/training
• (For Class B) Operating construction equipment such as semi-trucks and trailer (“rollbacks” or “dovetails”) consistent with DOT classification CDL-B.

JOB DUTIES:
• Assist rental customers in a polite, friendly and professional manner whether in person or on the phone
• Ask customer questions to determine their rental needs and recommend proper equipment. Provide alternative suggestions if appropriate
• Prepare rental forms and contracts by obtaining customer signature and other information as required
• Explain rental fees and provide information about rented items such as operation of equipment and safety features
• Answers telephone and receives orders by phone
• Resolve customer problems and answer questions
• Schedule equipment delivery and pickups and assists customer with the loading and unloading of equipment when necessary
• Daily audits of open contracts and call overdue rentals
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
• Complete rental transactions on (rental software) and perform basic tasks including, checking equipment rates and availability, creating rental quotes, reserving equipment, opening/closing rental contracts, scheduling equipment deliveries/pickups, emailing
quotes/reservations/contracts to customers

OTHER TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Cleans showroom floor and equipment. Arrange showroom displays. Keep shelves organized, stocked and clean
• Report safety violations to supervisor
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form
• Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations and security in store
• Attend department, store and safety meetings
• Perform other duties as requested

WORKING CONDITIONS
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time
• The job requires constant interaction with the public
• May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene, and cleaning solvents
• Most work will be indoors with limited exposure to outside elements

EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
• A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift/move approximately 50-70 lbs.
• Customer Service Aptitude
• Strong telephone skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Equipment rental industry experience preferred
• Experience as inside sales representative, rental counter sales representative, auto parts sales representative, equipment dispatcher, truck dispatcher, construction foreman, or similar role preferred

- Receive accounts payable and accounts receivable reports
- Oversee contract closing is properly completed, filed and maintained according to company procedure
- Oversee daily bank deposits are made and that receipts are filed appropriately
- Make journal entries as needed
- Prepare and Submit all DOT compliance reports and taxes
- Make calls and send emails to past due customers once a week for collection Accounts Receivable
- Send 10 Day Notices, File Magistrate Court Cases, and Collection Agency Actions
- Prepare Accounts Payable Invoices and packing slips, code, and submit accounts payable for approval. Write checks, prepare mailing, and filing of invoices
- Prepare month end reporting and submit to proper authorities
- Make sure financial statements balance
- Answer phone calls, quote prices to customers, take reservations for equipment, call equipment off rent, and prepare pickup tickets
- Help with counter sales during busy times and lunch breaks
- Maintain files of Certificate of Liability Insurance for Customers
- Maintain files of Sales Tax-Exempt Certificates
- Coordinate the Drug and Alcohol-Free Company Program
- Coordinate Safety Program and Meetings-Maintain Files
- Process Payments and Credit Cards Daily
- Send Customer Invoices daily
- Process New Employees and Terminated Employees according to company policy
- Order office supplies as required
- Process New Customer Credit Applications
- Assist Employees with HR Questions as needted
- Perform other duties as requested
