Longleaf Lumber is New England’s reclaimed lumber company, milling fine reclaimed wood salvaged from historic industrial and agricultural buildings. We produce reclaimed wood flooring, paneling, counter and tabletops, stair treads, resawn beams, mouldings, mantels, and roughsawn lumber. We salvage barn board and hand-hewn beams for use in commercial and residential applications. Focused specially

on the crafting of reclaimed Heart Pine flooring, our Heart Pine products are meticulously milled in six outstanding grades. Our passion for sawing old growth timber is further applied to reclaimed red and white oak, American chestnut, Pumpkin Pine, maple, hickory, walnut, ash, and every fine wood we carry to our saw sheds. OILY FACTORY HEART PINE ~ IN STOCK

Sawn from mill decking that saw years of hard work with machinery, our reclaimed Factory Heart Pine flooring is a varied collection of tongue-and-groove boards with varying surface oil content. Grain and grade also vary: you can expect solid knots, nail and bolt holes, solid checking, and mineral stains.

This material is being milled as flooring, but could also serve you well as paneling. It's a perfect choice for either a restaurant, commercial, or residential installation.

These beams made the short trip over to Kennebunkport recently. Although some might find it unexpected, it's clearly the case that antique beams like these can feel both graceful and powerful at the same time. We can't wait to see how they fit into their new home.

Welcome Dalia! South Boston’s new Spanish wood-fired restaurant is already highly praised for its incredible design and cuisine. Warm, textured, comfortable, rustic, and refined: all words used to describe this new addition to the dining scene AND reclaimed wood.

Seen here is our 1/4″ thick reclaimed white oak, bent to enfold the expansive arches over the chef’s counter seating. Used in other areas is our reclaimed Heart Pine on the ceiling and chestnut and rustic oak wall paneling.

Rough, raw, and ready to ship. We've gathered individual pieces and unique lots of unprocessed and lightly milled stock: beams, joists, and decking. We're in the dog days of summer, so no better time to check out this vintage, handmade dog who watches over the Heart Pine panels in our Cambridge showroom. Although he does seem to like it here, we would part with this sculpture if we knew he’d be going home with someone who would appreciate his brutalist style circa the 1960s and 1970s. Please ask us for details — about our Heart Pine AND our metal friend.

Looking back at a favorite project from 2014. The Robert E. Seydel Reading Room at the Hampshire College Library features our reclaimed oak and mixed softwoods, which were thoughtfully used throughout the space.

Sixty years ago, Hampshire began a bold exploration of alternative learning. Although the college is working through a difficult transition period that will ultimately result in its closure, the legacy of the college and its students—long celebrated as non-traditional, creative, and innovative—carries on.

RECLAIMED HEART PINE PANELING

We mill our Heart Pine Paneling at 1/4", 1/2", and 3/4" thickness, with a tongue-and-groove, and in grades that run from clear to rustic. Right now, we have some nice quantities of a few different combinations in stock.

1/4" Mixed Grade: 4" to 11" widths. 500 square feet.
1/2" #2 Select Grade: 2-1/2" to 9" widths. 1,800 square feet.
1/2" #2 Vertical Grain: 5" single width. 900 square feet.
3/4" Rustic Grade: 3-1/4" to 11" Widths. 1,570 square feet.

Reclaimed hickory flooring has a lively, distinct character with wonderful grain and color variation. It is dense, durable, and beautiful. It was the perfect choice for this bright and open home, playing counterpoint with its organic warmth to the angles of the space. What’s not to love?

California redwoods are an endangered treasure, and we're lucky to have live-edge slabs in-house. Likely thousands of years old, these salvaged pieces have been hand-selected for superlative grain and workability. Slabs are unfinished and ready for the finishing touches for your home, office, or restaurant.
