It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to the brilliant engineer responsible for bringing us the original T-Stat, David Benaron.

His lasting contributions were much greater than just tissue oximetry. Among his signature achievements was the invention of the green‑light heart rate sensor, now embedded in millions of wearable devices worldwide. His innovations fundamentally advanced how chronic and acute conditions can be noninvasively tracked through tissue oximetry.
