Truss Craft Structural Components

We go way beyond pizza parties: As employee-owners, everyone shares in our successes — with our stock ownership plan, you see it in your wallet, not the break room.

Continuing our celebration of Employee Ownership Month, we’re highlighting what truly sets our culture apart. 🤝

Mead is a great place to work for a lot of reasons, and one of them is that it’s employee-owned — there’s a direct correlation between employees’ efforts and their financial rewards.

14/10/2026

At Mead Lumber, employees are owners —with employee stock options, the company’s success is their success, and vice-versa.

October is Manufacturing Month, and we’re proud to celebrate the people, craftsmanship, and innovation behind Truss Craft Structural Components.

Every component that leaves our facilities starts with a team committed to precision, quality, and helping our customers build with confidence.

Throughout Manufacturing Month, we’re recognizing the hardworking people behind the scenes who turn plans into structural components that become part of homes, businesses, agricultural buildings, and communities across the regions we serve.

Here’s to the people who make it happen every day.

🏗️ Last Friday, we celebrated National Manufacturing Day!

We are proud to recognize the hardworking teams at Truss Craft Structural Components and Black Hills Structural Components who help keep the construction industry moving forward.

Every roof truss and floor truss manufactured by our teams plays an important role in bringing projects to life—from homes and multifamily developments to commercial buildings and more. Their precision, craftsmanship, and commitment to quality help builders work efficiently while creating strong, dependable structures for the communities we serve.

Manufacturing is more than building components—it’s skilled people, innovative processes, teamwork, and pride in producing products that make an impact well beyond the plant floor. On National Manufacturing Day, we celebrate our employee owners who put their expertise to work every day at Truss Craft and Black Hills Structural Components.

Thank you for helping build what’s next!

October is Employee Ownership Month, and at Mead Lumber and our family of brands, being 100% employee-owned isn't just a corporate structure, it's how we do business every day.

When our team members step into our stores, yards, and manufacturing facilities, they aren't just doing a job; they’re building their own future. From taking extra care with job site deliveries to giving expert advice at the counter, "thinking like an owner" translates directly into how we serve our customers and local communities.

Hear directly from our team about what employee ownership means to them and why being an ESOP makes Mead Lumber such a rewarding place to grow a career! 👇
