🚨 WE NEED A 1947–1954 GMC TRUCK! 🚨

Tr**ue Manufacturing is developing a new Altman Easy Hood Latch for 1947–1954 GMC trucks, and we need an original truck to help us prototype and test the new kit.

We are NOT looking to buy your truck. We need access to one so we can take measurements, check clearances, prototype the components, and verify the final fit.

What we're looking for:

A 1947–1954 GMC pickup with a stock, unmodified hood latch area.

The truck does not need to be restored, show quality, or even particularly pretty. What matters to us is that the hood latch area, radiator support and surrounding sheet metal have not been significantly modified.

We design our products to fit the original vehicle, so having an unaltered truck is extremely important when we're taking measurements and checking clearances.

How it would work:

Ideally, we'd like the owner to bring the truck by our shop first so we can inspect the latch area and determine if it's a good candidate.

If it works for what we need, we'll arrange another time for the truck to come back and stay with us while we prototype and test the new latch.

Truck not drivable? Don't count yourself out. Depending on your location, we may be able to come look at the truck.

We’ve always said we have some of the best customers in the industry — and Dennis is a perfect example.

Dennis called us with a question: Could our 1937–39 Ford Altman Easy Latch kit be made to work in his 1936 Ford?

We hadn’t test-fit the kit on a ’36, and there are enough differences that we couldn’t tell him it would fit.

Dennis’s response was basically, “I think I can make it fit.”

And he did.

Even better, he documented the modifications, took photos along the way, and sent everything to us so we could share what he learned with other 1936 Ford owners.
