Baldwin Supply's Twin Cities Belt shop is a 50,000 Sq Ft Facility dedicated to fabrication and installation of conveyor belting of all kinds. The state of the art belt fabrication shop has many capabilities that include, perforating, cleating, v-guiding, digital cutting, lacing, custom fabrications, and much more. These include but are not limited to aggregate and mining, food and beverage, agriculture, poultry, packaging equipment, power generation, medical and industrial conveyors.

Our Baldwin Supply and CAP Iowa teams had a great time last week at Principal Park in Des Moines with customers, catching an Iowa Cubs game and enjoying a night away from the office.

Meet Claire Bentfield, a mechanical engineer at Baldwin Supply Company working in our belting division.

Her expertise and training allows us to solve a lot of customer problems with unique solutions. Claire does everything from working on gauges, spacers, and guides for the machines our fabricators use every day, to V-Guide machines and gang slitters. She has become the go-to for interpreting drawings and prints, not just for our building, but for plants across the country.

Claire's quick to point out that she couldn't do her job without the sales team feeding her ideas or the guys in the shop helping her figure out what's actually possible. It's a daily back and forth of collaboration, and getting something to work, even when it doesn't work the first time, is what makes it rewarding.

Grateful to have Claire's engineering background and knowledge on our team, solving problems for our customers.

At 8 AM, a customer's pit went down. Over 200 feet of belt had torn, and the operation came to a complete stop.

The customer called Baldwin Supply. While our crews are booked for weeks, our teams are able to mobilize quickly for emergencies. Our Sioux Falls belt crew packed up and was out the door with a belt saddle in 45 minutes, then drove two hours to get on-site.

By 2 PM, they already had the first splice in the cooker and were prepping the second. It was a long day for everyone involved, but that pit was back up and running by the end of it.

250 Years of Baldwin's Belting Division!

This team represents our Belting Division, carrying over 250 years of combined service to Baldwin Supply Company. But that history didn't all start under our name; several of them trace back to the days of Light Weight Belting, the independent company we acquired 19 years ago, whose name still hangs proudly over our shop floor today.

Gordy Anderson was missing from the group photo, but we couldn't forget about him.

Two hundred fifty years of showing up, solving problems, and keeping belts running, through the Light Weight Belting years and everything since. Thank you for your dedication, expertise, and loyalty to Baldwin. Here's to the next 250.

Our Hibbing installation team pulled off a demanding job at an agricultural processing facility last month - Six belts, four days, brutal heat. No missed beats.

The belts ranged from 72 inches wide down to 24 inches, with the longest running 600 feet. The biggest ones required a finger splice, which is precision work that takes real skill to get right.

This crew works around the clock, in any conditions, to keep our customers running. That kind of commitment is what Baldwin is built on.
