⏰ HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT:
🚗 7 PM Saturday: Preparatory Lane closures begin.
🚲 9 PM Saturday: Richmond–San Rafael Bridge bicycle and pedestrian path closes.
⛔ 11 PM Saturday: Full westbound I-580 closure begins at the Richmond toll plaza.
✅ 8 AM Sunday: Scheduled reopening of westbound I-580.

The San Mateo-Hayward and Dumbarton bridges require 3 or more occupants to qualify for the 50% carpool toll discount. To receive the discount, vehicles must have a FasTrak Flex toll tag set to "3+."

Occupancy rules are enforced by CHP.

Richmond-San Rafael Bridge Overnight Lane Closures: Nightly from 7 pm - 5 am, August 31 through September 4

Caltrans maintenance crews will close lanes on both the upper and lower decks to conduct maintenance and repairs. At least one lane will remain OPEN in both directions.

Drivers should expect delays and are advised to seek alternate routes or allow extra travel time.

What do I do if I forget the username, PIN or password to log in to my Bay Area FasTrak account online?

If you forgot your username or password, visit the Forgot Password or Username page. To retrieve your username, you will need to provide your account number or toll tag number and the zip code on your account mailing address.

To reset your password, you will need your username and your account mailing zip code. You will be prompted to reset your password.

To reset your PIN or for additional assistance, contact the Bay Area FasTrak Customer Service Center at 877-BAY-TOLL (877-229-8655) during normal business hours. A customer service member can provide your username or password after verifying your identity.

FasTrak recommends logging in to your account regularly to review your transactions.

Go to BayAreaFasTrak.org and select "SIGN IN" at the top of the screen. On the Overview page, select "Transactions" from the left-hand menu. You'll be able to see the time, date and location of each transaction and whether it was identified by the toll tag or vehicle license plate. Tolls and other charges not questioned within 30 days will be deemed valid.

Set it, don't forget it!

Bay Area Express Lanes and most Bay Area bridges require carpools use a FasTrak Flex toll tag to receive carpool toll discounts. Make sure to check your tag's indicator to match the number of people in the vehicle before you start driving to ensure you receive any toll discounts you may be eligible for.

Occupancy requirements/rules are enforced by CHP.

SF-OAK Bay Bridge overnight lane closures start this week through October for painting.

Four eastbound lanes of the SF-OAK Bay Bridge will be closed overnight for the next few months for Caltrans crews to paint the bridge. One lane will remain open to the traveling public. All lanes will reopen each morning once work concludes.

Lane Reduction Schedule: Sunday through Thursday nights (5 nights/week)

Eastbound I‑80 Lane Closures – Bridge Painting
🚧 Lane 1: 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM
🚧 Lane 2: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
🚧 Lane 3: 12:00 AM to 6:00 AM
🚧 Lane 4: 1:00 AM to 5:00 AM (On Thursdays, Lane 4 will close at 2 a.m.)

Why does the amount of the toll change on the express lanes?

Toll rates for the express lanes are dynamic and will change based on how heavy traffic is. Tolls increase if traffic gets heavier and decrease as traffic gets lighter.

You are guaranteed that you won't pay more than the price you see on the toll sign at the time you enter the express lane, even if prices change while you are in the lane. If you exit and re-enter the lane, however, your price may change.
