Fun day wading with artificials lures. Jeff Marshal got to catch his first salt water fish on top water lures. He took me to school with the slider walk. My one knocker just wasn’t up to the task today. He finished his limit by 7:20 and we trued for red fish with no luck.

Made quick work of a limit of trout today with Jules Durel. Then we went a fished for triple tail. We caught 4 lost a couple more. All were under sized. Oh well maybe next time.

After 6 months of being off the water, today was almost epic. Fished the west end tournament today with Craig Slaiter. Started out on the first cast catching a 18” 7/8” trout. Good enough for 3 place. Too bad someone didn’t read the rules and after throwing the trout back. I realize the limit on trout was 19”. Oh well, we still caught fish all day. Just not the right ones for the tournament.

Hope to be back to work soon, hopefully by the end of the year.

I guess it pays to procrastinate. Didn’t put my boat up Friday, before the storms Saturday. Good thing cause my stall was wiped of the face of the earth.

Quick 2 man limit of trout this morning. 1/4oz jig with a hogie diablo eel was the best bite. Red fish were not haven’t it today. Spooked several schools with out a bite.

Ice cream conditions today on Galveston bay. Trout were at every location. The red fish not so much. Oh well maybe next time.

Fun day picking fights with redfish today. Managed a couple of trout and drum to go with them.
