GOOD MORNING 🙏 Hope everyone is staying warm!!
Wanted to jump on here and remind all my diesel lovers old and new to the diesel world of how important it is to always winterize your trucks. I put a detailed check list down below. Do yourself a favor and follow these few steps below and you'll save yourself headache and 💲💲

A winter weather checklist for diesel truck fuel should include: using winterized diesel fuel with anti-gel additives, keeping the fuel tank at least half full, regularly checking and draining the fuel water separator, replacing the fuel filter before winter, monitoring fuel levels frequently, and considering additional fuel additives if necessary; all to prevent fuel gelling in cold temperatures.

Key points to include on your diesel truck fuel winter checklist:

Fuel type:

Use "winter blend" diesel fuel specifically designed for cold weather.

Consider using #1 diesel, which has a lower freezing point than standard #2 diesel.

Fuel additives:

Add approved anti-gel additives to your fuel to further prevent gelling.

Consult your truck manufacturer for recommended additives.

Fuel tank level:

Keep the fuel tank at least half full to minimize condensation build up which can freeze.

Fill up the tank at the end of each workday.

Fuel filter and water separator:

Regularly check and drain the fuel water separator to remove any accumulated water.

Replace the fuel filter before winter arrives.

Monitoring and inspection:

Monitor fuel levels frequently, especially during cold weather.

Inspect fuel lines for leaks or cracks.

Other considerations:

Consider using a block heater to pre-warm the engine before starting in extreme cold.

Store your truck in a sheltered area when not in use.

Be aware of potential fuel gelling issues and have a plan in place if it occurs.

Morning, here are the top five car problems you might encounter during winter: a dead battery due to cold temperatures significantly reducing its power, frozen fuel lines caused by moisture turning to ice, low tire pressure from air contracting in the cold, thick or frozen engine oil, and issues with worn or underinflated tires impacting traction and handling

Decent little job, dang near knocked out in a day by one our lead technicians. Lot of work to just swap out a Y pipe 😫

THAT'S WHAT WE DO THOUGH!! GIVE US A CALL TODAY... 417-621-5668

Lets break this down.. You have two manifolds, left side/right side.. Those two manifolds (exhaust) go up to a Y-Pipe into the Turbo.. The EGR Cooler is on the passenger side Manifold line that routes to the Cooler.. Then the Downpipe comes out of the otherside of the Turbo to the Cat, Muffler, Tail Pipe..

Here are five things you should have a mechanic check on your car during the winter months:
Battery
A yearly battery test can help prevent costly repairs and breakdowns.

Tires
Tire pressure and tread depth should be checked regularly, especially in the winter when tires can lose pressure due to colder temperatures. Winter tires can also help improve traction and reduce the risk of skidding.

Brakes
Brake pads, rotors, and brake fluid should be checked to ensure your brakes are in good condition for winter's icy and wet road conditions.

Windshield wipers
Wipers should be inspected and replaced if needed every six months, but are especially important to check in the winter when they can be damaged by the elements.

Fluids
Antifreeze, coolant, and other additives can help your car handle the stress of winter temperatures.

Don't wait, give us a shout today 📞417-621-5668 ☎️

Winter is right around the corner. Is your vehicle winter ready 🤔

Heater core failure:
Regular maintenance: Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for inspecting, flushing, and refilling your cooling system. This is usually every two years or 24,000 miles

Not doing so can lead to costly repair bills and the loss of your vehicle while it's waiting to be repaired. No worries, though, give us a shout we're happy to help.
