This 50cc 2-stroke ATV was having issues with the kick starter shaft getting stuck after kick-starting the ATV. After some evaluation, we determined that the snap ring groove on the kick start shaft was worn out, along with the snap ring, which was allowing the whole shaft to push in and making the return spring useless. We recut the snap ring groove on the lathe and put a new snap ring on the shaft. The ATV is now operational again.
