Progress! This is an original 80s extra cab camper shell styled after a 4runner shell. Extremely rare and hard to find. Looksed like dry lake bed even though it spent its life in Oxnard California, which is right at the beach. The cracks were all the way down to the fiberglass. Was unable to find another extra cab one that was for sale near me or in better shape. My coworker knew how to work with fiberglass and started to help me. He ended up having to go away for work for a few months and will not return until July. So with my issues with not enough time, and not really knowing too much about what to do, I brought this down to Mexico to somebody that a few of my coworkers have taken their classic vehicles to for work. It is nice living 40 minutes from the border sometimes. Gel coat is going on next and then I’m gonna be bringing this thing to the other guy that has my truck for paint. 2 1/2 years my truck has been there….. but I spoke with him this last week and he says there’s only about three more weeks worth of work on it, probably most of that is wait time for paint to dry in between sanding. Will be getting four coats of clear on it as well. But my truck should be hopefully be finished by the end of June….🤞🏼 I’ve waited long enough.

Havent done one of these posts for a while… found a 1985 xTra Cab 22re when i oulled up for dinner If you are ever passing thru , i HIGHLY recommend stopping for this place! Food is always great and they give lots for the price! Car shows,
