AVANT WERKS is Thankful for The Truckee/Tahoe community and all of our loyal clients, customers, fans and supporters from all over the world.

It's hard to believe that this journey started 12 years ago already, and it has been an EPIC journey. I have learned and grown exponentially through this process.

Every hotshot Mechanic thinks that they will be the best shop owner ever. I sure did, I was pretty cocky there for a while. I have no regrets, well maybe a few..., but I am glad that I did it. I am much humbled now. Running a small business is a completely different kind of challenge from diagnosing and repairing an issue with a vehicle!!

It has been a great run, but the time has come for me to move on to greener pastures and new opportunities. The Pandemic posed unique challenges for small businesses in Tahoe. The town was/is much changed and I am tired of trying to recruit talent to a town where a 3bed/2bath is $1.1M. Stressing over making the ends meet where the overhead is astronomical and the labor pool is miniscule has taken it's toll.

We are ceasing operations effective immediately. Those who already have appointments booked need not worry, we will be in the shop next week, but yes, sadly next week is our final week. I will be moving out after that.

I have a tentative deal for another shop to take over some of the equipment and the lease. More information will be published when available. They are an established automotive business in town expanding into the European market vacuum that our departure is creating.

I am launching a new company in the new year. There will be more information forthcoming.I am seeking investors or contributions. Those interested please PM me.
