EDAG US SUMMER PICNIC // Last Wednesday, EDAG US employees and their families gathered for an exciting summer picnic at Dodge Park to celebrate yet another successful year at EDAG. The day was filled with team games, great food, and a tropical drink making competition. WHO WE ARE // Meet Ashleigh a Human Resources Generalist at our EDAG US office in Troy. Ashleigh started with EDAG in November of 2021. Ashleigh loves working and interacting with others, ultimately leading her to human resources as her career path choice. Her favorite part about EDAG is the learning and growth opportunities - where each person is enabled to learn something new each day! Ashleigh's workdays never look the same, her tasks vary between - staffing, training, benefits, and more. Ashleigh prioritizes having a good work life balance with the support of EDAG. GRIZZLIES RACING GRAND PRIX // We are very excited to share the highlights from the Oakland University Grand Prix that took place on June 29th. EDAG was a proud sponsor of Grizzlies Racing this past season. We are always excited to be able to support student's efforts to innovate and get involved with the future of engineering.

We would like to congratulate Oakland University Grizzlies Racing for placing 2nd in the competition and finishing the course in an astonishing 42.464 seconds. They truly were able to showcase their dedication, teamwork, and skills with this achievement. It was a great pleasure for EDAG to share the excitement of this fantastic event that was packed full of innovation and a well-deserved victory.

NEW LOS ANGELES OFFICE // We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new EDAG US office in Los Angeles, California. As this year marks EDAG US' 30th anniversary we are excited to be continually expanding our presence in the United States.

This expansion will be the start of a new chapter for EDAG US as we make a concrete step into the West Coast. HIGH VOLTAGE SAFTEY TRAINING // We are excited to announce the expansion of our High Voltage Safety Training Program (HVST) for electric vehicles. This new program is being offered through our EDAG US office. As society moves towards electrification, there are new hazards that people need to be made aware of and prepared for.

Our training offers both hands-on lab work with EVs, while also providing the theoretical knowledge behind it to help ensure the necessary expertise to handle high voltage equipment confidently. Safety is a priority for EDAG, so our HVST training adheres to the strictest standards around the world and will allow your employees to be more aware of potential hazards with EV high voltage systems. EDAG's HVST training can also be tailored to best prepare your organization for the changing future.

INTERN EVENT // Last Friday, all of our talented US interns enjoyed some time away from their desks for an afternoon at Top Golf in Auburn Hills, MI. The evening was filled with team bonding, great food, and impressive golfing. We welcomed three new interns to our EDAG US office for the summer; Trevor (Electrical Engineering), Niklas (Finance), and Merna (Marketing). They were also joined by long-term EDAG interns Riccardo (Electrical Engineering) and Renee (Marketing).

This event was not only a way for our interns to show off their competitive skills, but also provided them with the opportunity to unwind, connect, and share their experiences to foster stronger relationships.

We would like to thank all of our interns for participating and making this event a great success. We are looking forward to seeing what they each accomplish during their internships. ACT EXPO 2024 // The 2024 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo was held last week in the Las Vegas Convention Center. EDAG sent a team of six Engineering and Business Development leaders to the expo: Kai Salzmann, Volker Amelung, Kelly Martin, Tobias Behrend, and Roger Baywol from the US, and Franz Lorey from Europe. The key element at this year’s ACT Expo was hydrogen. Booths exhibiting fuel cells, tanks, fittings, and dispensing equipment outnumbered battery electric displays! Hydrogen significantly improves a vehicle's range, lifespan, weight, and carbon emissions compared to lithium batteries. Prominently displayed were vehicles with significant EDAG engineering development involvement in the Nikola booth, as well as a teaming agreement with Poppe+Potthoff for hydrogen fuel systems.
