Air content plays a major role in the durability and long-term performance of concrete, especially in environments exposed to freeze-thaw cycles. That’s why field air testing is a critical step before concrete placement moves forward.

In this video, our team member is striking off concrete as part of an air content test to help verify the mix meets project specifications. By measuring the amount of entrained air in fresh concrete, our team can identify potential issues early and support stronger, longer-lasting results.

Everyone say hi to Amy Wilbur!

Amy joined G2 nearly seven years ago and is now our Marketing Manager. She keeps the marketing department organized and projects moving forward. With over a decade of experience in the AEC industry, she oversees all aspects of G2 marketing including digital marketing, print materials, communications, and proposal support. Her talent keeps elevating the G2 brand year after year. Amy is currently serving on the SMPS Southeast Michigan board as the Program Director, leading the commitee that plans learning programs for the chapter.

In her free time, Amy can be found traveling to northern Michigan or back home to Ohio with her husband and daughter.

Some of our full-time team members raced to see who could complete an Air Content test the fastest. This test measures the air content in freshly mixed concrete, helping ensure the material has the right durability and performance for the job.

Of course, bragging rights were on the line, so let's see who won!

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave individuals who served our country and are no longer with us.

Here are a few individuals our team would like to recognize:

Colonel Louis A. Williams, Ben Youra’s Grandfather, served in the U.S. Army during WWII, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.

Robert Hargreaves, Michele Taylor’s Grandfather, served as a Seabee in the U.S. Navy during WWII in the Pacific theater. William Hargreaves, Michele Taylor’s Great-Grandfather, served in the Royal Navy during WWII.

Fred Prevo, Kandace Card’s Uncle, served as a Senior Chief E-8 in the U.S. Navy during the Gulf War and at multiple other bases throughout his military career.

We are deeply grateful for their service and sacrifice. Thank you to all veterans who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Your courage and legacy will never be forgotten.
