My guy Nick Plocienik took one look at my shop a couple months ago and said, “It looks like S**T! This is why you have no motivation!”
Then he red-X’d the f**k out of my video. 😂
I was embarrassed as hell.
But instead of letting that embarrassment get to me, I turned it into motivation!
I met Nick through his wife, who was a friend of mine in college. Nick didn't even know me five years ago. Most dudes might've been like, “Why are you talking to my girl?”
Nick did the exact opposite. He took the initiative to find me on social media—not to be an as***le, but because his wife and I were friends. And yup, they ended up getting married and have a beautiful family. Which, they have both made me feel very much a part of, from a distance. We live in different states.
Nick has been a friend and mentor to me over the last few years. He's pushed me, called me out when I needed it, and genuinely wanted to see me succeed.
I'm grateful for that dude. He's a big reason I'm having the success I'm starting to see today.
Sometimes the people who care about you aren't the ones telling you what you want to hear. They're the ones willing to tell you what you need to hear.
